Sharjeel Khan to make a return in cricket after an unconditional apology to PCB. in a meeting with PCB officials on Monday August 19 PCB agrees for his re-entry in cricket.
PCB stated that Sharjeel Khan will be complete his rehabilitation of 30 months which PCB was issued after 2017 Pakistan Super League spot fixing involvement. Which was issued by PCB anti-corruption tribunal for five years. He will play again after ban ends.
At suspension period Sharjeel Khan never accept his involvement in PSL spot-fixing. and made an appeal against ban in the court where court rejected his appeal. his case was also judge by and independent arbitrator which also favor board’s decision. Sharjeel then rethink his plan and finally accept PCB’s term which i.e Sharjeel Khan can Resume Cricket in one condition PCB
During meeting with Board officials Sharjeel Khan offers an unconditional apology to Pakistan Cricket Board, Team-mates, fans and family for his irresponsible activities. and asks board for forgiveness and made commitment for his future to perform his duties with honesty and prosperous, PCB official website describes on Monday 19.
He further advised all cricketers to strictly follow PCB Anti-Corruption Conduct Codes, Breaching it could cost your whole career and status for life and could face serious consequences for temporary gains. he further assures that he will follow all rules and regulations regarding future course of action including its educational sessions on anti-corruption.
PCB’s Security Director for Anti-Corruption Lt Col Asif Mahmood said that Sharjeel Khan is fully committed and showed regret for his actions. He further insists that PCB is fully aware regarding to make cricket safe from corruption and related issues. he explains that the board never takes pride for penalizing its players but it something which must be treated to avoid further hurt the board and cricket Pakistan. i hope this will decrease violation and will warns those who thinks that they can escape from Anti-corruption tribunal eyes.
